This three-day city retreat is a wonderful opportunity to experience the blissful spirit of yoga with the loving and generous Yogi Dinesh Chander and his wife Priya Nandhini Shankar from Om Shanti Om Yoga School, Rishikesh, India.

The schedule of the workshop is:

Thursday, May 10, 8.30 pm – 5.30 pm (including a lunch break)
Friday, May 11, 4.30 pm – 9 pm (including one break) 
Saturday, May 12, 8.30 am – 5.30 pm (including a lunch break) 

During the three days you will experience the inner bliss and timeless spirituality of yoga combined with hatha yoga practice, meditation, mantras, philosophy, pranayama (breathing exercises) and ancient spiritual rituals ("poojas”). 

Yogi Dinesh Chander and his wife Priya Nandhini Shankar Rekhari run a legendary Om Shanti Om Hatha Yoga School in the holy city of Rishikesh, India. 

Yogi Dinesh was a close student of the late Great Himalayan Yogi Swami Yogananda Maharaj Ji who lived to be 104 years old and with whom Yogi Dinesh founded his school. Yogi Dinesh is an experienced, energetic and humble teacher who has the ability to bring laughter and compassion to a challenging practice. He is incredibly good at taking students with different backgrounds and abilities into consideration. Hence, yogis with all kinds of background from beginners to advanced are warmly welcome. 

Yogi Dinesh lives and breaths yoga. He obtained his yogic education in Rishikesh Ashram (Parmath Niketan Sivananda) starting from age 12 studying all yoga practices, Mantras, Vedas, Sanskrit, Bhagavath Gita, the hindu traditions, yogic life and culture. He holds a Master’a degree in Sanskrit and the titles of “Acharya”, “Shastri” and “Yogacharya”. At the workshop, Yogi Dinesh will lead mantras and rituals, teach dynamic hatha yoga, laughter yoga and discuss the yogic path and practice today in the light of ancient yoga philosophy.

Priya manages the Om Shanti Om Yoga School with a warm heart and a great attentiveness to all practical details. She a dedicated and insightful yoga teacher who teaches especially philosophy, energy anatomy and meditation. She was brought up in South India and has received education in yoga in various Ashrams in both Southern and Northern India.

The Spirit of Yoga Retreat includes five full-length hatha yoga asana practices, philosophy and mantra classes, pranayama practice, meditation and deeply relaxing yoga nidra. Beautiful chanting and blessings are an essential part of every 

The cost of the city retreat consists of two parts, the full cost of the workshop varies between 230 and 310 € depending on the time of registering and your financial situation. Accommodation or food is not included in the price. 

The early bird fee (valid until 15 March) for the first part of the fee is 170 €. This will be billed upon reserving your spot. Later the first part of the fee is 210 €. The second part of the fee is a donation directed to the teachers who raise money for building a yoga ashram in Rishikesh (recommended amount between 60 and 100 €, depending on your situation). 

The workshop is organized by Kaisa Kuurne who is a yoga teacher and a student of Yogi Dinesh. She works as a researcher of good life (Ph.D., docent at the University of Eastern Finland) and retreat instructor leading courses and retreats on yoga, meditation, intuition and the archetypes of the psyche via Kasvutahto Ltd., a small family enterprise.
